If you've been reading my blog for awhile, you know that BeautyJudy is one of my best friends and I met her through blogging. So when she told me that she was going to be having a collaboration with KBShimmer, I was jumping for joy.
One of the things that's been on Judy's bucket list for as long as I've known her is to see the Northern Lights in person. So when Northern Frights was announced, I KNEW this was her bottle. KBShimmer calls this "aurora borealis in a bottle" and while the shifty emerald green to indigo purple to navy wasn't a new combination to me, the holo flakes and silver flakes was a new addition and really makes this polish unique in my collection.
I used a base coat of Duri Rejuvacote, two coats of polish and finished with Glisten & Glow top coat. This is a pretty opaque polish in one coat but I went with two thin coats to be sure I didn't have any bald spots.
This is from my light box and the only real color you can see is the emerald green. The shifts come when the polish is in the shade away from good camera angles. However this polish is great for the holidays too so that works for me.
I used my flash on this one and you can start to see some of the indigo purple peeking through. I really love the flakies in this one. I ended up making this a full manicure because it's just really unique to my collection!
