I cannot believe it's already February and just next week is Valentine's Day. It also means that my oldest is about to turn 11 - he was originally due on Valentine's but decided to come a little early. To get ready for the day of love, I grabbed an indie from my box and realized I haven't featured this brand on my blog yet!
This is Fair Maiden Polish Shadow of Your Heart from the Fall Into Delirium collection that came out in late 2016. I picked it up at one of the conventions I went to because it was just such a pretty vampy red with holo. Yes, with holo.
For this manicure, I started with Glisten & Glow Ridge Filling base coat, 2 coats of polish and finished with Glisten & Glow Top Coat. The formula is super opaque and pigmented and I may have been able to get away with just one coat. However, the brush on this brand is thin and round (like China Glaze) so I needed a second coat to get my entire nail. I didn't have any issues with my cuticles or staining.
Here in my light box, you can see just the tiniest hint of holo coming through. I like that it doesn't overpower the blood red base but instead, just enhances it.
Then, by sheer accident, I got a photo with my flash and HELLO HOLO. This is a scattered holo so it just dances all over the nail which is great for when you're outdoors. I love the muted look inside and the in your face outside so overall this is a keeper for me. As I continue to work through my Purge, I'm finding out just how many unique colors I do have!
Fair Maiden has closed their business and is no longer available for sale.
