I cannot believe this is the last week of June already! This time next month, I'll be getting ready to attend my 8th Cosmoprof North America conference and I'm so excited. I do miss not having an indie event like we have for the past several years which is where I got to meet Pam from Girly Bits the first time! Today I have a retired shade of hers from 2014 that I picked up called No Such Thing as a Purple Problem.
I used a base coat of Morgan Taylor ReactMAX Optical Brightener, 2 coats of polish and finished with Glisten & Glow Top Coat. The formula was super smooth for this polish! This is a grape purple with jelly micro glitter, silver holo sparks, dark purple, copper and aqua shimmer. In certain lights, it appears more blue than purple.
As you can see, my nails are getting a bit wild again. With only a month left until Cosmprof, I think I'm going to have a big chop and let them grow out nicely. As for the color, I'm super happy with it. This is a very smooth polish - the glitter and shimmer doesn't create a lumpy polish but it does dry matte. Since I opted for a glossy top coat, this is what you see.
Here it is with the flash so you can see that scattered holo. You can also see how it starts to pull more blue than purple. Removal was relatively easy - I'm using lint-free wipes because I ran out of all my felt from Indie Expo Canada (boo) and I haven't wanted to buy anything just yet. Because of that, I felt like it took a little longer because I would get the color off and be left with the sliver holo behind. I had a little bit of micro glitter at the end but a good hand wash fixed that.
