After the successful reboot of OMG!, I was really excited to see China Glaze pull out a holographic black for the Paint It Black collection. Maliboo-Boo doesn't look like a huge party in the bottle but just wait until this baby hits the light.
I started the manicure with Morgan Taylor React Max Optical Brightener and then used two medium coats of polish. The first coat wasn't the best applied but the second coat evened out and self leveled. I finished the manicure with Glisten & Glow top coat.
So I promise there holo there! Unfortunately, the black pigment in the base just swallows the holo up until you get under better lights and then....
Hello holo! This is a mix of both linear and scattered holo pieces, leaning more towards scattered. It's definitely a beauty but I do wish that a true black holo was out there for me. I have a few other here in my stash that I'm going to keep trying along with holo top coats that get added to regular black cremes.
