This weekend, I attended my first ADDY's & Big Wigs award show for the American Advertising Federation. I was in a room of MY PEOPLE and it was so much fun. The theme was "jewel toned" so I wanted to really rock a good nail look.
I was super excited about F.U.N Lacquer's Valentine's collection because it just looked amazing. I ended up only buying two - one being Kiss Me which you see above. While these claim to be opaque in 3 coats, I just didn't have the time to do my nails like I wanted so instead I cheated with a red polish underneath - Morgan Taylor All Tango-d Up from the Matadora Fall 2017 collection. I started with Morgan Taylor React MAX Optical Brightener, 1 coat of All Tango-d Up and 1 coat of Kiss Me before finishing with Glisten & Glow top coat. Kiss Me is a THIRSTY glitter and one coat of top coat did not leave my nails smooth. It wasn't like a textured polish but it wasn't super slick like I'm used to. For the photo below, I ended up adding one more coat of top coat for shine.
My nails need some love. My manicurist left her salon and I haven't gone to see her at the new place because I'm not sure the days/hours she's there. I'm really wanting to try out some new places but the one that's "highly recommended" by everyone I talk to, is not a place I want to go to again... the one and only time I went there, I got a pedicure and I didn't see the tech get new sterilized equipment for the pedicure next to me, and the tech working on me skipped base coat when using red and I have a process I like to follow. Also the place looked a little dirty to me in general and that skeeves me out.
