How's your skin doing? This has been a good time for me to try out new products to see what makes it in my ultimate daily routine and today's brand may be new to me but isn't new on the market. For nearly 100 years, PAYOT Paris has been dedicated exclusively to skincare. The founder, Nadia Payot was not only the first female doctor of her generation but also a visionary of skincare products.
I chose the Hydra 24+ Essence mostly because I hadn't heard of such a product and it's this cool looking blue bottle. So what is it and how does it work? Think of this as step one in your beauty routine. It hydrates the skin with hyaluronic acid and is infused with cornflower petals.
I start with a clean face, washed with just water and then use about the size a penny. Yes, that small. The first time, I squirted about a quarter size dollop and it was WAY too much. Because of the squeeze opening, you can control how much comes out.
Next, smooth it on your face. I avoid my eye lids just because I've been extra sensitive lately but I make sure to get under my eyes.
It's not sticky at all, dries fast, and has a very light smell. Then I add my moisturizer and eye cream of choice before putting on makeup. However, the last few weeks, I haven't worn any makeup at all so I just essence, moisturize and go. It's recommended to use this product both day and night before your moisturizer or night creme so that's what I've been doing.
I haven't noticed any breakouts or irritations so it's a win.
