Blogger officially changed their layout and I'm adjusting. It's hard to believe that it was summer 2009 when I was talking with my friend Jen about blogs. I finally started my blog on December 7, 2009 and it's been an amazing eleven years so far.
One of my favorite things about blogging is the people I've been able to meet along the way. Back in 2015, I got to meet Narineh Bedrossian, the founder of ella + mila. She was in the Discover Beauty section of the Cosmoprof North America conference and she was so warm and friendly, telling me how Ella and Mila are her twin daughters and she founded the company because she wanted something that was safe to paint their nails with. It's been inspiring watching her brand from just a small boutique brand to the beauty aisle of Target!
As you know, one of the harshest parts of nail polish is the removal. Pure acetone does the job but it wrecks havoc on the surrounding skin. I've had some crazy peeling before after using pure acetone during a swatch session on the blog!
Today I have the ella + mila Soy Polish Remover which is a vitamin enriched remover with essential oils and lavender scent. I've used a soy remover in the past but I didn't repurchase it.
To remove my polish, you can start by soaking your cotton ball or pad with the remover and first wipe each nail. You heard me, just wipe it. Wait 20-30 seconds and THEN go in with your cotton ball/pad and wipe the nail until the polish completely removed. This was such a different technique for me but it actually worked! Best part was that my nails were ready for painting again. The lavender smell is pleasant and not overpowering and the oils absorbed well so I could type and go about my normal activities.
I have some of their colors here to try out but you already now I'm a fan of their polish, so stay tuned!
ella + mila may be purchased on their website for $10.50 for 16 ml (0.54 fl oz) or in Target stores. Join them on social media: Like on Facebook, Follow on Instagram, Follow on Twitter, Subscribe on YouTube and Follow on Pinterest!
