Nfu-Oh 51

I've said it before - I really don't have "lemmings" but Nfu-Oh 51 was my lemming because it was the #1 best seller of Nfu-Oh from FabulouStreet which is the only retailer of Nfu-Oh in the USA.  It's sold out a lot (but it's currently available for sale!).  It's this mix of blue, purple, red, green, yellow flakes in a purple base.  I decided to pull out my makeshift lightbox to try and capture the awesomeness that is this color.

Mmm.

Because this is best used as a layering polish, I tried over CND Blackjack and then over OPI Alpine Snow.  I'm still looking for my perfect 1 coater white, but I don't know that it exists.  I used 2 coats of Nfu-Oh 51 over each color.

This is indirect sun.  Over black, you get either a red or a green flash.  Over white, you really only see a pink flash but the purple base seriously shows its true self.

In the shade, you really only see that burning red over the black, and again a light pink flash from the flakies.

Indoors with the flash - again, lots of red.

Here's indoors without the flash - more of the red/green color.  It reminds me a bit of Sally Hansen Hidden Treasure but this is way more packed with flakies.  I love it!

Nfu-Oh is available for $12.50 at FabulouStreet in the US.  To find out where to find Nfu-Oh in your country, please visit their Community Page.

Nfu-Oh 61

Ever since I saw this color, I have wanted it.  Nfu-Oh 61 is a silver linear holographic, much like GOSH Holographic or China Glaze OMG.  So in love!

I used the Nfu-Oh Aqua Base and 2 coats of Nfu-Oh 61.  This was my first time using the Aqua Base which is said to aid in the "sticking" of holographic polish to the nail, and I have to say that it did make a difference.  I did have to wait longer than normal for the Aqua Base to dry (probably about 2 minutes) before I could add polish.  I did not use a top coat in my pictures.

Boo clouds again!  You can see that it's amazing though, right?

Here's one silly shade picture.  I hate how the shade dulls these colors so much.

Oddly, my best pictures are here indoors.  Check it out!

Here's one indoors with the flash!

I'm absolutely in love with this color!  The bottles are super cute too.

Claire's Magic with Nfu-Oh 40

On Tuesday, I stopped at Claire's and found some crazy Jolly Rancher scented nail polish and the manager told me that all cosmetics were buy one, get the second one half off - so I started looking at the 3-1 Color Polishes but some jerk had shaken up the bottles, and then I found this.

Claire's Magic is a beautiful dark purple with a dusty rose shimmer to it.  I thought it was originally a duochrome, but especially on the nail I saw that it was really a shimmer.  Because of the half off sale for this, I paid a whole $2 (instead of the normal retail of $4).  Sadly, I didn't get any pictures of just the Magic because I was way too excited for this.

Nfu-Oh 40!!!!  This is a green and blue flakie suspended in a clear polish.  Flakies are awesome - it's not glitter, it's not a shimmer... it reminds me of mica flakes.  Depending on the light, you either see a deep royal blue or a emerald green.  This is definitely more expensive at $12.50 a bottle, but I received free shipping so that helped.

Here's a couple of sunlight pictures and you can tell the Magic has the red shimmer, and you can see a strong blue flakie.

A couple of pictures in the shade - now you can see the deep purple shade with the green flakie.  This was a seriously fun manicure to wear.  I originally called this my stepchild to Scrangie from Rescue Beauty Lounge, but especially with it on, there's no comparison - it's pretty but it's no Scrangie :)

Claire's is available world wide or online [official website] and I purchased Nfu-Oh at Fabuloustreet.com [official website].
