Today I have another Anchor & Heart called You Are Not Alone. This was from a Breast Cancer Awareness Hope Box from 2018. This polish was a dusty pink jelly with rose gold metallic flakes and orange shifting flakes. I do think my bottle has faded from others I've found online. It also may be that the metallic flakes have tainted my bottle a bit.

This is probably one of my favorite polishes that I've gotten in a long time. This is illyrian A Dangerous Type, a Hella Handmade Creations Exclusive from January 2019. This is a light purple crelly with red-green shifting flakies. This polish was inspired by The Craft, which I just watched for the first time ever, and was capped at 300 bottles.

I'm making a dent through the polishes on my desk from my last 3 Pookie's Polish Swap and today I have Polished for Days It's all so Magical. This was from "The Once Upon A Dream" collection from 2022. It's an aqua/teal crelly with gold iridescent and black matte flakies. This polish was inspired by Jasmine from Aladdin.

Last month, I completed my 4th #PookiesPolishSwap on Instagram, and I was partnered with rachel.lazzeri.nails. She hooked me UP with 10 amazing polishes including this beauty from Necessary Evil called Road Less Traveled. The label on the bottom also says "2 yr Birthaversary 2019 OG UP 2-10/20". I hadn't heard much of the brand (in fact, the name of the company isn't on the bottle at all and I had to ask on Instagram who it was!) but OG UP?! Like... original "unicorn pee" which is a shifty green to red pigment that cannot be purchased anymore? Gimme all the polish!
I have a box of polishes next to my desk that i had made swatch sticks for back when I originally got the polishes but never got to wear them as full manicures. Today I have Different dimension No Sleep Til Brooklyn, which was from the PolishCon NYC Spring 2017 VIP bag. As you can see from my swatch stick, this was originally a light lavender polish with gold flakies.

As I mentioned before, I was part of two Secret Santa type swaps this holiday season, and in my Instragram swap from Pookie's Polish Swap, I got this amazing Bee's Knees Lacquer called You Conjured Me Out of Hope. This was from a 2022 mystery bag polish that had something called "Ghost Flakes" as well as light reflective glitter. From the maker: "Ghost flakes are the largest particle size of UP (unicorn pee!). They
aren't quite as sparkly because they're denser and more flake-like, but
they have the same hard color shift. Lastly, these polishes have half
the amount of light reflective glitter we have been using so it adds
some depth without taking away from the ghost flakes." This is an indigo polish with gold to green ghost flakes and an emerald light reflective glitter.

Last month, I participated in two "Secret Santa" type swaps. The first one was called "Destashing Through The Snow" from the Facebook Group "PUT THE POLISH DOWN." This is a fun group where polishoholics can talk about new releases, share swatches, talk about how long we've gone since purchases and more. Today I'm using Sweet Heart Polish Summer Nights in Seoul, which was from the March 2023 PPU (Polish Pickup). This is a light purple base with magenta flakies and blue micro-shimmer.
I misunderstood Zoya's limited edition color of the month collection. For some reason, I thought that Vienna was the January color but it's actually the December color. This is a brilliant gold metallic with iridescent hex shimmer, irregular flakies, gold and iridescent micro shimmer, and fine white pearl.
Happy Saint Patrick's Day! Remember the year that I did a bunch of green polishes leading up to the holiday? I should have done that again but at least I'm wearing green today! This is ILNP Mint Chip from their newest Something Sweet collection. It's a bright mint green polish with small black metallic flakes.

There have been a few brands over the years that I absolutely obsess over and want to own every single color that's released. ILNP is one of those brands and they consistently put out winners. Today I have Tombstone from their Haunted Collection 2021. This is a bone grey with copper metallic flakes and scattered holographic glitter.

Back in 2016, commenting pods became popular among bloggers. I decided to start one on Facebook with 20 members. We were mostly nail bloggers but also had some make up and even lifestyle bloggers. Over the years, people have come and gone but it's been a good way to (a) have engagement and (b) for me to read about what other bloggers are doing, wearing, and discovering. I know that TikTok is the hot thing and Instagram has taken over for a lot of the OGs in the field but when I want to find what a polish really looks like, I turn to Google and I get... blogs.
Today's purchase, You Sleigh Me by Rogue Lacquer was because I saw it on The Polished Hippy's blog. This is a "Christmas tree green with red metallic flakes" and I fell in love. I've never seen a polish like this before.

Vapid is an indie company that's located only about 150 miles north of where I live. That sounds like a far distance, but that's where my extended family lives and since Vapid just opened a store front, it was only fitting that when I was up seeing family, I made a stop to see all the goodness in its glory. Now I could do an entire post on just the store and the other items Vapid has to offer but for now, let's just talk about Birthday Bitch 2020.

Painted Polish is an indie company that I've purchased from a few times at PolishCon and I always say "I'm going to buy more" but when I saw Catching The Canal on the Polish Pick Up Flashback, I finally pulled the trigger and made my first Polish Pick Up purchase. Apparently this was the April 2019 "Famous Works Of Art" contribution from Painted Polish and was inspired by Claude Monte's impressionist painting "Le Grand Canal." This is a beautiful periwinkle crelly base with a rainbow of color-shifting flakies.

If you've been watching my Facebook, you know that I've finally gotten all my polishes into Helmers, purged nearly half of what I owned, and I'm working on swatch sticks and wanting to get back into blogging. The other big news in my life is that I'm welcoming Boy #3 next Monday (woo!) and while I'm excited, it is starting all over with a new baby which can be stressful and what not. I had painted my nails this past weekend for the first time in months and remembered how much I love painting so this time, I picked ILNP Ocean Ave from the summer 2019 "The Boardwalk" collection. This is a cerulean blue with copper microflakes and a bit of holo microflakes for added touch.

It's crazy when I think about how much nail polish I have sitting around my house that's never been tried on. One of those is Ever After from the VIP bag at PolishCon Chicago 2016 called Millennium Park. It's a lavender a light linear holo and fuchsia flakes. Additionally, my bottle has UBS (ugly bottle syndrome) where there's a white pigment that has settled into the bottom of the bottle. This doesn't affect the formula or application of the polish.

I can't believe it's already April! This year is definitely going by fast but I feel like I say that every year. I'm trying to balance my blog out with indies and mainstream again especially as I go through and purge my polishes so today I have KBShimmer Hashtag You're It! from the Summer 2017 Summer Vacation Collection. This is a grape purple polish with holo glow flakes (silver?) that has a duochrome that looks sometimes more red, sometimes more blue. Mind blown yet?

Today I've got an oldie for you! Back in 2016, there was an event called Cocktails & Colors which was kind of a precursor to PolishCon & Indie Shop as far as having an organized group of nail polish makers and bloggers in one spot (obviously the later are more convention type with selling). It was held in Las Vegas and was always a nice time. One of the items in the swag bag that was provided was from Darling Diva called After Party.

Call me a glutton for punishment but I decided I need another flakie to wear this week. When ILNP came out with flakies, I wasn't thrilled only because I hate layering polish. And yet here I am today with ILNP Fully Loaded, a green to violet iridescent flakie.

It's been about six weeks since I last put on nail polish. After I found my nail polish spreadsheet had been deleted, I've been in a funk and not wanted to even get to my polish. However, I'm trying to find my passion and love again especially with the holidays and all the parties. Speaking of, I went to my first formal event in nearly 15 years and needed something to punch up my dress.
