I started a new job on Friday and one of the things I really want to do is wear all the nail polish so today I decided to grab ILNP Chateau from the new Monarch collection which is sitting on my desk. This is a purple leaning grey with copper micro-flakes and holographic shimmer.

Why hello friends. If you follow my Facebook, you'll know that unfortunately, we were the victims of a home invasion and they took my camera and computer - two things that are essential in my blogging. (My Helmers were also ruined but that's another story.) The good news is that the majority of our items were recovered including said camera and computer so here I am, trying to find some normalcy in my life again with blogging.

Bee's Knees Lacquer Squatchin Around

I missed the Fall 2018 PolishCon that was held in Minnesota, but I was really happy that I was able to purchase a VIP bag after the fact. In it was this GALAXY from Bee's Knees Lacquer called Squatchin Around. This polish amazing. It's got purple, blue and green all melded together along with some shimmer and rainbow reflecting holographic shards that just make it magical.

Morgan Taylor Glow All Out

When Morgan Taylor ever said they were coming out with holographic polishes, I was pretty stoked. I knew that a mainstream would probably more of a scattered holo than a linear but I was still happy to hear it. Today is an orange-red scattered holo from the Platinum collection called Glow All Out.

Pretty & Polished Navy Pier

Continuing to pull through the PolishCon Chicago 2016 box that I had by my desk and today is Pretty & Polished Navy Pier. The bottle shows a deep inky blue with gold and orange glitters and it also has some sprinkles of rainbow holographic reflective glitter in it too.

Lou It Yourself You Get A Polish!!

I feel like I'm starting to see a small light at the end of the tunnel of my polish. It's a good feeling because I like just having polish that I want around. Today I picked up Lou It Yourself You Get A Polish!! from the PolishCon 2016 VIP bag. Now, the brand has since rebranded to Bluebird Lacquer so this polish is definitely a relic. This is a medium blue polish with scattered holo and blue shimmer.

Julep Zara

Julep just recently stopped their monthly boxes, something I had been a subscriber since the very beginning. Granted, I've skipped a lot of boxes but one of the boxes that I got included Zara, a sheer grey holo that's very subtle.

Lollipop Posse Lacquer This Fruit Was Bruised

I typically don't care for mini bottles of polish but when this bottle of Lollipop Posse Lacquer was in my VIP bag from PolishCon Chicago 2016, I had to make an exception. This Fruit Was Bruised is from the Summer 2015 Midsummer Midnights collection and it's a deep purple/burgundy holo.

Ever After Millennium Park

It's crazy when I think about how much nail polish I have sitting around my house that's never been tried on. One of those is Ever After from the VIP bag at PolishCon Chicago 2016 called Millennium Park. It's a lavender a light linear holo and fuchsia flakes. Additionally, my bottle has UBS (ugly bottle syndrome) where there's a white pigment that has settled into the bottom of the bottle. This doesn't affect the formula or application of the polish.

Cupcake Polish The Bean

You know the phrase "Don't judge a book by its cover"? Well this is very much a don't judge a polish by it's bottle in the shade situation. When I got my VIP polish from Cupcake Polish in PolishCon Chicago 2016, I was not loving the silver shimmer but then I saw this polish under flash and WHOA.

Awhile back, I won a free bottle of Mint to Be from Starrily. This mint green polish has holographic rainbow glitter in it. This polish was a collaboration with Nails By Miri.

Top Shelf Lacquer Moonlight Margarita

Reaching into my PolishCon Chicago 2016 box again and this time I pulled out Top Shelf Lacquer Moonlight Margarita. This polish is from the Margarita Time collection. The base grape purple and then there's a scattered holo within.

This weekend I'm headed to PolishCon NOLA and I'm so excited. Not only am I getting to be around all my polish friends, but I get to hang out with a coworker who I haven't seen in almost 3 years too! (We work for the same company but in different states.) In slight celebration, I grabbed a colors by llarowe polish today from PolishCon Chicago 2016. This is a purple/blue duochrome with scattered holo. Up top with just the polish, the purple is shining through but what happens when I put it on and have my hand in the photo?

KBShimmer Hashtag You're It!

I can't believe it's already April! This year is definitely going by fast but I feel like I say that every year. I'm trying to balance my blog out with indies and mainstream again especially as I go through and purge my polishes so today I have KBShimmer Hashtag You're It! from the Summer 2017 Summer Vacation Collection. This is a grape purple polish with holo glow flakes (silver?) that has a duochrome that looks sometimes more red, sometimes more blue. Mind blown yet?

Cupcake Polish San Antonio Shuffle

Texas is huge but when I heard the Indie Shop was going to be in San Antonio in October 2017, I was super stoked. That's only about a 2.5 hour drive north of me so I packed up the car and drove up. One of the exclusives from Cupcake Polish was called San Antonio Shuffle and it was a purple/blue polish with blue shimmer and subtle holo. I snatched it up.

Glisten & Glow Lavender Liqueur

I am definitely a fan of all things purple. I have a purple Keurig. I have a purple star tattoo. I have way more purple polish than I probably should. Today I have Glisten & Glow Lavender Liqueur. This was a limited edition polish that I picked up at PolishCon Chicago 2016 and it's been hiding in a box. As part of my purge, I decided to try it on. This is a light lavender holographic with some silver holo microglitter. I also just had a huge chop so check out the nubbins below!

Happy Halloween! Today I decided to use the Paint It Black China Glaze shade called Night and Slay. This is a glitter bomb filled with holographic and rainbow reflective glitter in a clear base. Who doesn't love an explosion of glitter?

China Glaze Maliboo-Boo

After the successful reboot of OMG!, I was really excited to see China Glaze pull out a holographic black for the Paint It Black collection. Maliboo-Boo doesn't look like a huge party in the bottle but just wait until this baby hits the light.

Different dimension Bean There, Done That

I've been to Chicago three times now and I have yet to go to the Bean, which is actually called Cloud Gate (keep that for trivia night!). Mostly because the times I've been in Chicago, I've been busy during the day and only had free time at night.
