Today I have an oldie but a goodie - Vapid D.A.B. 2019 which stands for Down Ass Bitch. This is a beautiful purple with pink shimmer and linear holographic flame. This is part of the trio that is Ride or Die and Cyber Punk.

I have another Pookie's Polish Swap polish from my partner wild_moon_lacquer, this time from Nailed It! polish out of Hawaii. This is called Sweater Weather, and it's from the Sparkle and Shine Advent 2022 collection. This is a beautiful plum purple polish with red shimmer and holographic glitter. In the above bottle photo, you're seeing all that red shimmer.

Zoya Paisley

Zoya really hit it out of the park this month with their May Color of the Month, Paisley. This is a wisteria violet creme that is also a pastel neon. It does dry matte but I went with a gloss top coat.

When I first got this jen & berries You're Living In A Vacuum in my secret swap, I wasn't sure what to make of it. I hadn't heard of the brand before but also in low light, this looked like just another greige polish. This polish was originally released in the Polish Pick Up September 2022 "Scary Vibes" but this bottle is from the July 2023 rewind..

Today I have a new-to-me indie brand that I received in a polish swap. This is Lῡmen Nails Night Flight, and it's a beautiful light purple/pink base with tons of holographic glitter and a purple shimmer. I'm blown away.

Yesterday, I was invited to speak for Career Day at a local middle school and one of the things I mentioned was my beauty blog and how I'm officially the second longest-running, nails-only niche beauty blog in the United States (second to xoxo, Jen) and I realized that I hadn't posted in awhile! I have a lot of polish here to play with and I'm really wanting to get some organization under me again. Today I decided to wear ILNP Lily from the new Velvet collection. This is a lilac base with subtle holo and silver magnetic particles. The way that the magnetic pulls, you get more of a crushed-velvet look on the nails.

Bee's Knees Lacquer You Conjured Me Out of Hope

As I mentioned before, I was part of two Secret Santa type swaps this holiday season, and in my Instragram swap from Pookie's Polish Swap, I got this amazing Bee's Knees Lacquer called You Conjured Me Out of Hope. This was from a 2022 mystery bag polish that had something called "Ghost Flakes" as well as light reflective glitter. From the maker: "Ghost flakes are the largest particle size of UP (unicorn pee!). They aren't quite as sparkly because they're denser and more flake-like, but they have the same hard color shift. Lastly, these polishes have half the amount of light reflective glitter we have been using so it adds some depth without taking away from the ghost flakes." This is an indigo polish with gold to green ghost flakes and an emerald light reflective glitter.

Sweet Heart Polish Summer Nights in Seoul

Last month, I participated in two "Secret Santa" type swaps. The first one was called "Destashing Through The Snow" from the Facebook Group "PUT THE POLISH DOWN." This is a fun group where polishoholics can talk about new releases, share swatches, talk about how long we've gone since purchases and more. The only rule was to send at least one polish to your partner. Sarah was my partner and she really send me some amazing new brands that I hadn't tried before.micro-shimmer

Today I'm using Sweet Heart Polish Summer Nights in Seoul, which was from the March 2023 PPU (Polish Pickup). This is a light purple base with magenta flakies and blue micro-shimmer.

This is quite a unique color for my collection. Today I have Sally Hansen Mega Strength Persis-Tint, a lilac jelly with blue shimmer.

Today is my last Insta-Dri Matte polishes that I was sent and I was most excited for this one - Burnished Wine. This is a "1-stroke, 1 coat" polish that leaves you with a matte metallic finish in 60 seconds. In the bottle, it's a beautiful plum purple with holographic sparkles.

I'm halfway through the Studio Color polish from ILNP - today it's Currant, which is a rich plum purple polish. I was most excited for this polish and it's just as vampy as I thought.

I was randomly pulling polishes out of a box next to my desk that I had already made swatch sticks for and today is Cupcake Polish Field of Flowers from the Holo Hookup August 2017 box. Originally, this was a medium purple/lavender polish with blue flash but mine has faded quite a bit into more of a pink/lavender.

I cannot believe it's already August. I feel like I say this all the time but this year has blown by. Today I tried out Fair Maiden Northern Exposure, which was an Indie Expo Canada 2017 event exclusive. This is a light purple with pink shimmer and scattered holo.

Today I have KBShimmer We Make Your Dreams Come Blue from the 2017 NYC PolishCon. This is a unique polish for me with an icy blue base that shifts to light violet, shimmer, and holographic microflakes.

Anchor & Heart Wicked Good Blueberries

I love that Anchor & Heart is located in Maine, where my husband's family lives. I bought Wicked Good Blueberries during PolishCon but haven't had the chance to wear it until now! It's this beautiful lavender blue crelly with blue to purple shifting shimmer.

I bought this polish on a whim from Different dimension but boy, it does live up to its name. Today I have Unicorn, a silver linear holographic with purple shimmer and microglitter. This was from their Mythical and Magical Collection back in 2016.
