Barielle A Bouquet for Ana vs China Glaze Shower Together

Yesterday after I put on my shades by Barielle "A Bouquet for Ana" I kept thinking that I had another color that looked just like it.  So I got on the floor (my polish spinners got knocked down there since I needed the side tables for well, side table purposes again) and started looking.  Finally I figured it out.  China Glaze Shower Together.  So I removed a bit of polish and did a little comparison.

The bottle in sunlight made me really feel that these were dupes.  On however, was a different story.  If you remember, A Bouquet for Ana was 2 coats (one thin and one thick).  Shower Together was also 2 coats but in China Glaze fashion, it was two thin coats, no pooling into the cuticles.  I used Seche Natural for the base coat and Seche Vite for my top coat.

You can start to see in the shade that this is not a dupe, but rather, cousins.  A Bouquet for Ana (on my index and ring finger) is slightly darker than Shower Together (shown on the middle and pinkie fingers).

In the sun was the same story.  Some of my sun pictures did not show a difference in the colors but there was a slight one - I could tell I was wearing two different blues.  At this point, I got silly and threw on a coat of China Glaze Matte Magic because I realized I have like... 12 bottles.  (I went nuts and bought 2 Sally's stores clear out when they were on sale for $1.99.)

Thanks for reading!  I was able to grab a little bit of sun for my next manicure - it's one of my absolute favorites - the second polish I wore when I started collecting again!

Barielle A Bouquet for Ava

I have another one of the shades by Barielle Wildflower collection colors today - "A Bouquet for Ava".   This was one of the colors that  100% of proceeds will be donated to the Ovarian Cancer Research Fund when purchased at http://www.ocrf.org.

The formula on this one was a lot like June Bug - thick in the bottle, thin on the nail for the first coat, but totally opaque after the second coat.  Barielle has called it a cool Caribbean blue, which is pretty accurate.  I thought it also reminded me of China Glaze "Shower Together" so I did a comparison before I took off my manicure today (post later to come).

I used Seche Natural for my base and Seche Vite for my top coat.  I must say that this color to me, is a jelly.  It may have been the Seche Vite but that's okay by me because it's a keeper in itself.

Barielle June Bug

Shades by Barielle June Bug is another from the Wildflower collection, and this is one of the colors that are to pay homage to women close to Barielle who are still battling or have lost their fight to ovarian cancer.  They describe the color as "teal with fuchsia glitter" but they forgot to mention the green shimmer (which photographed more blue than green) and the grey tint!

I really felt like this was more of a slate grey (think hex color #778899 for the nerds) and while inside I really didn't see the glitter, but it's there.  There's also this really awesome green shimmer, kind of like in the Rescue Beauty Lounge Scrangie but not as bright.  I used Seche Natural for my base and Seche Vite as my top coat and two coats of June Bug.  I was a little confused with the formula because it appears to be VERY thick, but after wiping the edge of the brush on the bottle, the polish was super thin on my nail for the first coat, and was fully opaque after the second coat.

Definitely a good color to wear to the office because of the hidden glitter and shimmer that you can't see across the room, but will entertain you during the day.  Now for sun (!) pictures!

A little shade

Some indirect sun

Mmm sun!

And a bit of a blur to show the shimmer
