Jesse's Girl Fire Fly

So, little secret - all the Jesse's Girl products have product descriptions originally written by yours truly!  Yeah, I'm pretty awesome.  You better believe that's going on my resume.  Promise.

And not so little secret, I LOVE Firefly.  Like, LOVE.

If you don't know what Firefly is, it's okay - you can own it on DVD or Blu-Ray real quick.  You'll thank me later.

Back to the polish!  SHINY!

First I used a base coat of Seche Natural and 2 coats of Fire Fly but I realized that it's not a buildable glitter, but rather best over another color.  That is why I decided to use a base coat of CND Blackjack (my go-to black) and then 1 coat of Fire Fly.  I topped both with Seche Vite.
Look at shimmery green gold popping out!  There's even a hint of purple in the base but it's a bit hard to see.

Same story in the shade but seriously PRETTY!  I don't think I have any glitter coats like this... the closest would be a CND Effect like Gold Sparkle but at $11 a bottle, Jesse's Girl is much more affordable, and you also get a hint of green!  NOW GO WATCH FIREFLY!

Jesse's Girl sells for $2.99 a bottle online or at Rite Aid stores. You can visit Jesse's Girl on their website, Like them on Facebook and Follow them on Twitter.

Jesse's Girl Breathless vs China Glaze Limbo Bimbo

Comparison posts - do you find them to be helpful?  It makes me almost nervous when I realize "Oh gosh, I have this already!" but then it's also like "Hey, I have a backup!"

While applying Breathless, I realized this looked a lot like China Glaze Limbo Bimbo, from the Core Line.  I picked it up at Sally's during a Buy 1 Get 1 Free promotion awhile back.  I used a base of Seche Natural for both colors, 2 coats, and a top of Seche Vite on both.

Can you tell any difference in the sun?  Pretty hard to find anything different, huh?

How about in the shade?  Can you tell the difference?  I really can't.  Gotta love dupes.  :)

Jesse's Girl Breathless

Hello hot pink magenta shimmer goodness!  Jesse's Girl Breathless is just one of those punky happy colors that screams "LOOK AT ME" but in the good way.

I used a base of Seche Natural, 2 coats of Breathless and a top of Seche Vite.

HOT, right?

And yet soft enough to be lovely.  Great color for the upcoming summer.

Jesse's Girl Blue Moon

I could sing, but I'll spare you.  Actually, I'm a pretty good singer, to be honest.  :P
Jesse's Girl Blue Moon is a matte midnight blue - and let me tell you, it's wild.

I used a base of Seche Natural, 2 coats of Blue Moon and I left it matte and didn't add a top coat for my first few pictures.  Thankfully, after removal, I had smurf fingers (blue tinted) but no staining.

The shine you see here is not the polish but the sun bouncing off my nails.  Look how INTENSE this color is!

NOW you can see the matte finish - it's almost like satin.

And because I'm fun like that, I added some Seche Vite.
Mmmmm lovely, seriously.  Especially for only $3 - go get it!

NOTD: 31 Jan 2011

Warning - adult language below.

Kind of cheating, as this was a NOTD from awhile back - I decided I wanted something fun, so I used a base coat of Naughty Nailz "I'm on bottom!", 2 coats of Red Hot Fuck (red with gold/orange shimmer), followed by one coat of Cummin' 4 U (a clear iridescent glitter) and then topped it all with Seche Vite.  I didn't use their top coat "I'm on top!" because I was running late.

You really can't see the gold/orange shimmer as much as you can in the bottle of RHF, and C4U is more of a gold glitter than an iridescent glitter, but in the end, it worked.
