Sinful Colors Soul Mate

The last color I have to review from the Sinful Colors Pretty-In-Pink Collection is Soul Mate, a muted peachy pink with a melon twist - and that's a pretty accurate color description as you'll see in my pictures.

I used a base of Seche Natural, 2 coats of Soul Mate, and a top coat of Seche Vite.  This polish seemed a little thick but a bit of thinner would clear that up.

In the sun, you can really see the melon - it's a bit watermelon pink but dusty watermelon?  Does that make sense?  Heh.

Is this the same color?  Yes, I promise it is - this is when you see the pink show up - the shade.  Oh shade.  It's almost like a color changing polish like Del-Sol, but I promise it's just one bottle, one color.  ^_^  For $2, pick it up (and make sure you have a bit of thinner).

Sinful Colors is available at major drug and mass market stores nationwide for $1.99, by calling 1-800-448-0763 or online at www.sinfulcolors.com

Sinful Colors Glass Pink

I have another pink today from Sinful Colors, Glass Pink from the PRETTY-IN-PINK collection, a sheer, shiny, shimmer-happy bliss.

I used a base coat of Seche Natural, 2 coats of Glass Pink and a top of Seche Vite, but I have to say, it didn't play well with Seche Vite and started to pull up on me.  I probably should have tried to layer this over black or a red... but I wanted to test it out alone.

In the sun, you can see that even though you can still see my nail, but it does work well alone.

I seriously apologize for this blurry shade shot... I don't know what happened, hah.  Again, you can still see that it works well alone but you can see VNL.  I'd like to see this over another color so I'll see what I can do.  Overall, especially for the price, it's a great polish.

411 from OPI

Today on Facebook, OPI made an announcement /correction to their previously released information.

We have a correction to make. We've been informing you that you can not use thinner in glitter lacquers for some time. This was misinformation that we sadly passed on to all of you. After speaking further w/ our tech team and those in development, we're happy to tell you that if your glitter lacquers are getting think, you can add 2-3 drops of thinner to help them out! We sincerely apologize for the confusion.
Good to know!   Even better, further down in the comments, they mentioned you can also use thinner in the Black Shatter which I've noticed has gotten a bit clumpy in my bottle.  I normally wipe the neck down with remover (never getting any in the bottle) because that gunks up, but it's good to know I can do it in the polish itself as well.

Do NOT use acetone or nail polish remover to thin polish.  It will destroy your polish as remover is designed to remove polish, not thin the consistancy.  You can pick up thinner at beauty supply stores.  I have a bottle of generic brand, Zoya has an item called Renew in their Color Lock System that I use for Zoya polishes and Seche Restore works in Seche Vite and I've used it in China Glaze Glitters as well.  Anywho, just a little information update for you!  Enjoy!

GingerKittyDesigns Giveaway!

First off, thank you to all my followers - I recently just hit 800!  That's always rewarding, knowing that people are reading my blog.  I've had so much fun writing, taking pictures (not so much on the editing) and sharing my collection with everyone.

I'm going to be hosting a number of giveaways now, because I've been collecting cool stuff since Christmas.  First one is a joint giveaway from GingerKittyDesigns, where nail polish turns into jewelry!  I purchased 4 sets of earrings from her a few months back and was absolutely in love.  She offers so many different options of jewelry on her Etsy site.  For this giveaway, she had donated a set of her new Bobby Pins (currently on Secret Sale!) and I am adding in a set of the earrings I purchased - the Nfu-Oh 56.  I accidentally bought the wrong color and never wore the earrings.

The bobby pins were made with a light blue holographic polish and black shatter.  When the shatter was applied, the blue kind of disappeared so it LOOKS a lot like a silver holographic - think China Glaze OMG or Gosh Holographic.

The earrings, as mentioned before are Nfu-Oh 56 - a green to blue glitter.  The earrings are dangling and again, have never been worn.  The green is mostly seen when you look directly at them but the blue is photographing quite nicely.

So, what do you have to do to make these yours?!  Sign up for this giveaway!  Pretty simple, eh?

Here's the "fine print."  This is open to both USA and International followers.  I will be in charge of fulfillment (shipping). I use USPS and if the winner is in the USA, I will use Delivery Confirmation.  If the user is international, I use Customs PS Form 2976.  The package will be marked as a Gift with a value of $35. You will be responsible for any customs fees your country imposes.
