Nicole by OPI He's A Keeper

Also from the Nicole ♥ Walmart collection is Nicole by OPI He's a Keeper, a classic red - and it is just that.  I used a base of OPI Natural Nail, 2 coats of He's a Keeper and a top of OPI Top Coat.  The formula was nice and smooth.

Unfortunately, I've had nasty weather so all I have is one cloudy picture for you today.
As you can see, it's just a nice classic red - they definitely deliver on that one.  Good stuff!

Nicole by OPI is available beginning at ULTA, Meijer, Harmon, HEB, Sears, Wal-Mart and more for around $8 a bottle.  For more information, visit their websitefollow Nicole by OPI on Twitter or become a Facebook fan.

deborah lippmann Summer 2011

Please enjoy the following press release from deborah lippmann:

I’m calling all 80’s prom queens: you’ve inspired my newest shades! I Know What Boys Like and Girls Just Want To Have Fun take their color cues from the decade’s most vivid, over-the-top prom gowns. I wanted fun, happy, bold colors, but not the expected shimmering brights so I created shades that are loud, but have this rich, creamy base, which makes them more wearable. I turned to prom dresses past for inspiration because I remember the colors, particularly one I wore, being very off beat and interesting and to me that couldn’t be more fun, especially for summer.

Girls Just Want To Have Fun – A smooth, vintage coral that everyone can wear because it’s bold yet velvety – a sort of carefree, creamy coral.

I Know What Boys Like – A creamy periwinkle that credits to both the 80’s and my clients. Several of my clients have asked for interesting blues. This one is a blend of blue and purple with a creamy finish, which gives it a slightly retro look that is so playful and hip.

XOXO,
Deborah

China Glaze Manicures Backstage At The Sue Wong Fashion Show

Please enjoy the following press release from China Glaze.  Oddly enough, I was going to buy China Rouge last month using my Sally's Rewards but didn't.  Hah!

OLD HOLLYWOOD FASHION AND MANICURES DAZZLE L.A.

China Glaze Manicures Backstage At The Sue Wong Fashion Show

Los Angeles, CA – (April 2011): “My Fair Lady” was the theme of Sue Wong’s Fall 2011 show that took place at her private residence in Los Angeles, CA. Paying homage to the Edwardian styling of the film and the overall theme of transformation, Sue Wong decided that China Glaze was the most fashion forward polish to compliment her collection that was filled with ornate gowns, rich satins, flowing chiffons and fine laces.

To accentuate the delicate appliqué and intricate embroidery seen on the dresses of her Fall 2011 collection, Sue herself decided that China Glaze Drastic (a dark, brick red) and China Rouge (a rich, creamy red) would fit the mood she was looking to set. All manicures were then topped off Seche Vite Fast Dry Top Coat for a high gloss shine. Celebrity manicurist Melissa Bozant and her assistants worked quickly to get the manicures done just in the time for the show to start!

China Glaze is free of DBP, toluene, and added formaldehyde.

China Glaze nail lacquers are available through salons and professional beauty supply stores nationwide. For more information, visit: www.chinaglaze.com or follow China Glaze on Twitter: http://twitter.com/ChinaGlaze

deborah lippmann Lady Sings The Blues

When I originally saw Lady Sings the Blues, I wanted it badly, but I didn't want to buy the whole three piece All That Jazz set that it was apart of, so I was super happy when deborah lippmann offered it by itself on her website.

This is a dark navy blue base with some silver hex glitter and some microglitter.  I was super happy with the coverage - nice and opaque.  I used a base of Seche Vite, 2 coats of Lady Sings the Blues, and a top of Seche Vite.

I didn't take a picture in the shade, because you really lost the color and glitter together.  Very nice color and a nice surprise from deborah lippmann.

deborah lippmann sells for $18 a bottle.  You can follow her on Twitter.
