Dermelect Cosmeceuticals Introduces ME Collection

When I first heard of Dermelect Cosmeceuticals in July 2010 (wow 2 years ago!), I was slightly sad that they didn't offer nail polish colors, only treatments.  Well, now they do!  Please enjoy the following press release that came across my inbox.  I absolutely love the concept of the bottles and the colors are pretty neat too! Coming to you June 1, 2012 is the launch of the ME Collection of Colored Anti-Aging Nail Lacquers from Dermelect Cosmeceuticals.

The six lacquers are the brand’s foray into the colored nail polish category, providing a 2-in-1 range of bright, beautiful crème shades coupled with a manicure extending formula. Infused with ProSina, a pure protein peptide extracted from New Zealand’s sheep’s wool, the lacquers deliver a fast-drying, high gloss shine while providing an unequaled level of strength for stubborn nails to grow longer and more resistant to chipping, peeling and splitting.

Recently, Hilary Swank wore the Persuasive peach hue to the Met Ball.

The ‘Cure’ in your ‘Mani’ is at your fingertips with the 1st peptide-infused color treatments for fragile, weak nails.  Aptly named ME, Dermelect Cosmeceuticals formulated and designed a 2-in-1 range of bright, beautiful crème shades coupled with a remarkable manicure extending formula. Infused with ProSina, a pure protein peptide extracted from New Zealand sheep’s wool, the lacquers deliver a fast drying, high gloss shine while providing an unequaled level of strength for stubborn nails to grow longer and more resistant to chipping, peeling and splitting.

In its debut collection, the ME range includes six lacquers with eye-catching hues ranging from the brand’s signature red to a rich lilac, creamy sky blue and color of the year, tangerine.

HOW IT WORKS
The first coat instantly bonds to the nail, while the second fuses with the base coat to create a flexible web of color that resists chipping and improves brittleness (patent-pending technology). The ME colors combine fast drying, high shine, and a healthy ‘green’ dose of vitamins, peptides, and moisture, offering a colorful solution to the contemporary woman’s beauty concern—aging hands and nails. For best results, two coats are recommended.

Gelish Fall & Winter 2012

Let's talk about Gelish Soak-Off Gel Polish.  Soon (like in the next week, I hope) I'll let you in on my personal Gelish experience, but today I wanted to share with you on what Gelish has coming up in the following months.  You may have seen the ads of their new Magneto (magnetic) line of gel polishes, cured under LED or UV light, but I didn't photograph those.  To me, magnetic is so last year, despite the fact that many polish companies are just now coming around with their own line.

Gelish is a professional line of soak off gel polish that comes in an array of colors (and glitters), are cured in 30 seconds under LED lamps/2 minutes under UV lamps, stay on the nail for three weeks without chipping or peeling, and soak off completely in 15 minutes.

There are over 100 different colors and this fall and winter, they are adding some more.

The fall 2012 line is called House of Gelish, and features dark vampy cremes.  From left to right, Cashmere Kind of Gal (light grey), Cocktail Party Drama (dark purple), Backstage Beauty (red), My Favorite Accessory (medium blue), A Runway For The Money (black) and Fashion Week Chic (dark grey).

Next is The Shadows Collection, coming out in November 2012.  These are more of a metallic looking finish and from left to right include The Dark Side (emerald green), Angel in Disguise (dark silver), Welcome to the Masquerade (old gold), Inner Vixen (vampy burgundy), Is It An Illusion? (royal blue) and The Perfect Silhouette (dark purple).

To lighten the mood this winter, the Holiday Collection is full of pretty glitters!  From left to right are Holiday Party Blues (royal blue glitter), Little Miss Sparkle (snow white/silver glitter), Danny's Little Helpers (brilliant yellow gold glitter), The Naughty List (dark brown/bronze glitter), All Tied Up (scarlet red glitter) and Just What I Wanted (hunter green glitter).

Gelish has just jump started their PR department, so expect to see more information coming from them soon.  They do have a Facebook page where you can like them, but no Twitter at press time that I am aware of.

To find a salon near you that carries Gelish products, the Gelish website has a Salon Locator.  For the professional, you may learn more about Distribution Information by emailing sales@nailharmony.com . For Education Information, please email education@nailharmony.com

NCLA Fall & Holiday 2012

Photo courtesy of NCLA Facebook Page

While wandering Cosmoprof North America on Day 1, I came across the booth for NCLA (hooray!), and I was hoping to finally get to meet the creator in person after talking to her via Twitter & Instagram for months.  I was shocked that she was as young as she is and so successful (and beautiful!) and frankly, some of her new polishes are to die for.  I was able to get a sneak peak of what she has coming out this fall and holiday 2012.

For fall, NCLA is coming out with the "Going Out in LA" collection - 4 colors that are all about the nightlife in the city.  Granted, my only experiences in LA have been at the airport, but I promise you, that will change one day.  I have too much love (and friends!) that are in that area, and way too much that I want to see before I go old and grey in this world.  (Haha, like I'll allow myself to go grey.  That's what hair dye is for!)

From left to right we have the stunning Call Me for the After Party, a metallic blue; Rock Solid, a charcoal polish with silver glitter; Without Me There is No VIP!, a burgundy metallic with slight rainbow holo glitter and Dirty Martini, an olive green/yellow.  Unfortunately, I do not have the release date for these polishes just yet but will keep you updated.

NCLA also has many different nail wraps to choose from (which yes, I suck at applying, but I watched the NCLA girls put on tons of wraps on men and women alike without a bubbling edge or ragged tear, so it's just me) and this year they will be coming out with two limited edition "lace themed" wraps.
On the left is I Am Your Muse, a red with black lace print and Roomservice: Stilettos & Champagne, a silver with black netting lace.

Finally we have the 2 holiday sets coming out this winter.  These gift boxes will contain 2 bottles of pre-existing colors (as shown on the left and right) and a limited edition NEW color (in the middle).

The Glitz contains the new limited edition High Above The City Lights, which contains shards of rose gold glitter.

Meanwhile The Ritz includes the new limited edition Let's Pop Bottles, Pink Champagne! a metallic rose.  Pricing on these holiday gift sets was not available, nor was their release date.  At press time, the two limited edition polishes will ONLY be available as part of the holiday gift sets, and will not be sold on their own.

There will also be 3 more nail wraps for Fall/Winter 2012 but I did not have permission to share those at press time.  They do not appear to be limited edition.

Jesse's Girl Cosmetics at Cosmoprof North America Las Vegas 2012

I love Jesse's Girl Cosmetics.  There is something really special about a company that is all about bringing quality cosmetics at a great price.  I love the high pigmented, easy applied, long wearing, unique nail polishes but did you know that they also have lipglosses, liquid lipstick, eyeshadows, eye dusts, and more?  Oh yes.

Coming up in the following year are new lipglosses- as you can see below!  Also, instead of a normal doe foot applicator, these come with a mini brush (like MAC Lipglass) for easier application.

Oh, those glowing things on the end?  Yeah, it's their new "Glowstick" lipgloss.
Jesse's Girl is also planning 12 new lipsticks but they were not available for showing at Cosmoprof.

Also coming up is a new eye palette.
The price on that thing?  $4.99.  Yep.  They will also be coming up with 6 combos of three eyeshadows (think Smashbox Photo Op trios).

I was really excited about this last item coming out.  I didn't get a photo of the prototype but it's a waterproof eyeliner in an airless canister that clicks when it's closed.  No more uncapped eyeliner being smooshed in your purse anymore!  Best part?  It's a SUPER fine pen-like tip from Japan which can go from super fine to thick without any issues.  No crazy liquid, no chalkiness...  what was amazing was as soon as I applied it, it was dry.

YouTube guru and nail polish creator, JulieG was there with her current line.  My lips are zipped on what's coming up new in the world of JulieG, but let me just say it's COOL.  I did get to take a picture with her and let me tell you, this woman is seriously amazingly sweet.  (Special thanks to Polarbelle for the picture!)

That's all for today!  Make sure you keep watching for more amazing things from Jesse's Girl in your Rite Aid next month.  Hint: It has to do with Jesse's Girl nail polish, something "glam"orous, and yours truly's nails!

CND Shellac Giveaway

I am officially back home in Texas (even went to work today), and while I'm sorting through the twenty pounds of press material I have in suitcase, I have something pretty awesome to share with you from NailPolishCanada.  Please note that this giveaway is not affiliate with CND or PolishGalore, and is open to everyone in the US and Canada.

WIN SHELLAC FOR LIFE ($1266 value)
NAILPOLISHCANADA.COM TO CHANGE YOUR LIFE

“To be fair, it’s actually only a 25 year supply, so we can only hope the winner dies early to keep me an honest woman” - Nikki Smith, VP of Glitter, Nail Polish Canada.

CND Shellac is a cross between nail polish and gel which is cured under a UV lamp and lasts up to 14 days without chipping.

Chipped nails are an important issue that affect lives in many ways. “We’ve invented substantial research and the reason women slap or bite in a catfight is fear of chipping their nails. Hopefully, together, we can build a world where a woman can throw a punch at the bitch who kissed her boyfriend without worrying about chips” said Ms. Smith

The prize will go to whomever can show that their life will be most impacted by winning Shellac for life.
Be it better, or worse.

Maybe it stops your polish addiction long enough that you can save money, go to school, become a doctor, go to Africa and start saving lives. Did we say that this contest saves lives? Now we did.

Or maybe you’re just looking for a little understanding, “My husband will finally understand that other people take polish as seriously as me...” - Sarah P.”

Or perhaps the result won’t be as positive, “I’ll probably spend all my time painting my nails, not go to work, get fired, now I’m homeless, damn you NPC.” - Beth C”

If you or a loved one is still stuck in a world of chips, smudges and wasting countless hours re-doing nails we urge you to take a stand.

Grand prize will go to the best description of how winning a lifetime supply of Shellac will change their life.
Winner selected August 7, 2012.
