Nail It! Magazine

I heard through the grapevine that a nail magazine was finally coming for the non-professional nail lover (like me!) and now it's literally on its way!  Please enjoy the following press release and visit their website!

Nail It!, the Magazine for Nail Enthusiasts, Launches on February 19, 2013

Van Nuys, CA, November 7, 2012 — From the publisher of leading professional nail magazine NAILPRO comes Nail It!, the very first consumer fashion, beauty and lifestyle magazine that’s all about nails. As any beauty buff will tell you, nails and nail art have exploded onto the scene, and Nail It! is dedicated to bringing readers the latest trends, products and care.

Within the pages of Nail It! readers will find nail art, celebrity styles, tips for nail health and wellness, the latest products, and how nails fit into their overall appearance. While nails are the focus of the magazine, columns will also include overall beauty tips, including hair and makeup, as well as trending fashion and accessories.

“Through the great relationships that we’ve established with the pros in the nail industry over the years, we’re in the perfect position to provide the consumer with reliable and practical information about nails and nail care,” says Lavery. “I’m very excited to share everything I know about nails, salons and products with our readers.”

Nail It! will start as a bimonthly magazine published six times a year, and the premiere issue will hit newsstands everywhere—Barnes & Noble, Walgreens, Target, CVS, Duane Reade, supermarkets and wherever magazines are sold—on February 19, 2013.

LVX Vermillion

It's my birthday!  I wanted to celebrate with what I'm calling my favorite creme of 2012.  Yes, I said it.  LVX Vermillion, a tangerine red creme from their Summer 2012 collection.  I wore this color more times than I can count this year, and that's SUPER rare for me to wear a color twice.  It's not a red, it's not an orange... it's not a tomato.  It's fantastic.  So here's to Vermillion.  ^_^

I used a base coat of Poshe, 2 coats of polish and a top of Cult Nails Wicked Fast.  Formula was fantastic on my short nails but small warning!!!  If you have longer nails, this can look more jelly than creme and you may need another coat of polish.  Or layer a glitter over!

Here is a picture of it in the sun on my shorties.  I don't know what's up with my weird hand pose but you love me, and again, it's my birthday.  Deal?

And then in the shade - oh I love you.  This polish glows!  Yeah, it's one of my favorites.  I love it.  Thank you LVX.  And tonight, I party!

LVX [Website | Facebook | Twitter | YouTube | Instagram] is available on their website. It is 10-free to include Toluene and Camphor, vegan and cruelty free. Use promo code POLISHGALORE for 20% off your purchase!

Ninja Polish Sticks 'n Stones

While I was at Cosmoprof North America Las Vegas, I got to meet the ninja creators behind Ninja Polish and they gave me this awesome gift bag that had goodies including Cover Band Sticks 'n Stones, which is very reminiscent of Lynnderella Connect The Dots.  I decided to layer it over my NCLA Dirty Martini manicure.  This is one (yes one!) coat of Sticks 'n Stones.

Check it out in the sun!  We have it all - bar shapes, small hexs, dots - oh yeah buddy.  Please ignore the hand written label - this was one of their first prototypes and the bottles for sale have the official labels on the bottom.

Shade picture!  Not much different - still see all the shapes and it looks awesome and dude, it's fantastic.

Indirect light!  Pow!  The major difference I can tell from this and the Lynn is that this does not have tiny microglitter running through the clear base.

Indoors with the flash - howdy.  I'm glitter.  I look cool.  Less people, you can't really go wrong with this polish.

So where to buy?

BAM.  You can get it from Ninja Polish here for only $9.00.  Yes, nine dollars.  Win.  Go get it.  Ninja Polish: Website | Facebook | Twitter
